Before you book

Course terms
in plain English.

A summary of the key terms of the Mortgage Train Academy programme. Before you book, you’ll receive our full Delegate Training & Support Agreement to read and sign — if anything here differs from that agreement, the signed agreement applies.

What we provide

  • Two weeks (10 days) of live online training with Dan and Ricky for newly qualified advisers who have passed CeMAP (or equivalent), covering the adviser’s job from first contact to offer — including protection, case management, practice scenarios and assessment.
  • Six months of dedicated post-course support and mentoring, then ongoing support whenever you need it, including guidance and access to industry expertise. This support is advisory and doesn’t replace any firm’s regulatory or supervisory responsibilities.
  • A guaranteed introduction to a self-employed mortgage and protection adviser role with our partner firm, Echo Finance, which provides leads at no cost — subject to the eligibility requirements below.

What we don’t promise

We don’t guarantee employment, income, lender approvals or case completions. The partner firm, not us, controls lead volume and quality, and your income depends on your own effort and circumstances.

Eligibility for the adviser role

The introduction to a self-employed role depends on meeting the partner firm’s requirements. You’ll need to:
  • complete and pass the course to a satisfactory standard
  • be assessed as fit and proper in line with FCA principles and industry standards
  • pass any required credit checks or financial background searches
  • meet any regulatory, compliance or onboarding requirements set by the partner firm.

What we ask of you

Attend the course, take part fully, apply reasonable effort, follow the processes we teach, and act professionally and compliantly at all times.

Fees

The Academy fee is £2,995. It doesn’t include CeMAP: you need to have passed CeMAP (or an equivalent) before joining, with any provider. Our CeMAP study aids are sold separately and are optional, and CeMAP exam and registration fees are paid directly to Walbrook Institute London (formerly LIBF). As a self-employed adviser in the partner firm’s network you’ll work on a commission-share basis — your options, including any lower upfront fee arrangements, are explained in full and set out in writing before you commit.

Cancellation and refunds

14-day right to cancel: you can cancel within 14 days of paying your deposit by calling 01452 920566 or emailing info@mortgagetrainacademy.co.uk, and your deposit will be refunded. After those 14 days, the following applies. No refund is given where a delegate doesn’t engage, doesn’t apply reasonable effort, or chooses not to pursue the opportunity. No refund is due where we have delivered the two-week course, the post-course support and the guaranteed introduction. Not meeting the partner firm’s eligibility requirements doesn’t count as a failure by us to deliver the programme. The full cancellation and refund terms are set out in your agreement — please ask us if anything is unclear before you book.

Liability and law

We’re not liable for loss of earnings, business losses, lender decisions or regulatory outcomes. Our agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
